What a drawdown is
On Navys, drawdowns are issued as Drawdown Notices. Each notice has a title, an amount, a due date, and a set of recipients. The platform tracks the status of every notice from issued through acknowledged through paid.
Before you start
To issue a drawdown you need:
Super Admin or Admin role
The carry vehicle the drawdown applies to
The total amount to call and the due date
A clear description so holders understand the purpose
Issuing the notice
From the left sidebar, click Carry.
On the Dashboard sub-tab, find the Drawdown Notices section.
Click Issue Drawdown in the top-right of the section.
Fill in:
Title (e.g. "Q2 2026 Capital Call")
Description: explain the purpose
Due Date: when payment is due
Total Amount (EUR): the total amount to be called
Click Issue Notice.
The notice is recorded immediately and appears at the top of the Drawdown Notices table.
How the notice is allocated to holders
The total amount is split across recipients based on their proportional share of the relevant carry vehicle. Each holder's share is recorded against their capital account.
Tracking status
Each drawdown notice has one of these statuses:
Active: the notice has been issued and is awaiting acknowledgement or payment
Overdue: the due date has passed without payment from one or more recipients
Completed: all recipients have paid
The Recipients column on the table shows a fraction indicating how many recipients have completed the drawdown.
What holders see
Holders see the drawdown notices that apply to them from their holder dashboard. Opening a notice, a holder can review its details and their allocated share, acknowledge the notice, and mark it as paid.
As holders acknowledge and pay, each notice moves from issued through acknowledged through paid, and the Recipients count on the Drawdown Notices table updates to show how many have completed.
Editing or canceling a notice
Click any notice in the table to open its detail. From there you can edit the title, description, or due date. Cancellations are recorded in the audit trail.
