What "carry value" means
Your carry value is an estimate of what each holder's carry position would be worth today, based on the current valuation of the carry vehicle.
Three figures combine to produce it:
Unit value — the NAV of the carry vehicle divided by total units outstanding. This is what one share in the vehicle is worth today.
The holder's C shares — the number of carry shares the holder owns in the vehicle.
Stake value — the holder's C shares multiplied by the unit value.
The platform recalculates these figures every time a new fund valuation is recorded.
Where to find your carry value on Navys

Carry Value Over Time chart
A chart showing how your total carry value has moved across quarters, based on the valuations recorded by your GP.
How valuations drive these figures
Your GP records a fund valuation each quarter (typically once your fund administrator produces a NAV). When a new valuation is recorded:
The unit value updates
Your stake value updates
A new data point appears on the Carry Value Over Time chart
See Recording Quarterly Fund Valuations for how this works on the GP side.
A note on vested vs. unvested
Today, your Carry Value Over Time chart shows the value of your full carry position. The platform does not yet distinguish between the vested and unvested portions of that value, that distinction will become available in the next release with the vesting engine.
See Vesting on Navys — Coming Soon for what is coming.
