Carry Transfers (Coming Soon)

A preview of how carry transfers between holders will work on Navys once the feature is live.

Coming Soon. Carry transfers are part of the next release of Carry on Navys. This article previews how the workflow will work.

How carry transfers will work on Navys

Carry transfers will follow the same workflow as LP transfers on Navys — choose a transferor and transferee, generate the share transfer agreement, collect signatures, and close. See the Transfers articles for the full LP transfer workflow guidance.

The carry-specific layer on top:

  • Identification of which C-shares are being moved

  • The vesting impact at the transfer date (the platform recomputes for both holders)

  • Any clawback recalculation triggered by the move

  • Generation of the share transfer agreement from your firm's template

Initiating a transfer

You will be able to initiate a carry transfer in two ways:

  • From a holder's detail page in the Carry section, by selecting the destination and number of shares

  • From the standard Transfers section, by picking the carry vehicle and the relevant holders

Either path leads to the same underlying transfer workflow.

What you will see on the holder side

A carry transfer will appear in the Transfer History card on the holder's detail page (and on the holder's own dashboard) with these columns: Transferee, Carry %, Estimated Value, Status, Initiated date. The status will mirror the standard transfer workflow (e.g. GP Consent Pending, Awaiting Signature, Closed).

Once the feature is released, you will see Transfer History on both the Admin holder detail page and the Holder dashboard, and you will be able to initiate carry transfers directly from the Carry section.
