Welcome to the Navys Transfer Platform

The Navys Transfer Platform is a comprehensive solution designed to streamline the entire LP (Limited Partner) LP transfer process. Whether you are a General Partner, Transferor, Transferee, Legal Counsel, or Fund Administrator, the platform provides tailored tools to guide you through every stage of a transfer β€” from pre-transfer questions through to closing.

Navys is an invite-only platform. There is no way to create an account on your own. You will always receive an email inviting you to join, either from someone at your organization or from a participant in a transfer that is outside of your organization.

You will log in to the Navys platform through your organization's Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On (SSO).

Organizations and User Accounts

Navys has two levels of account: organizations and users. Understanding how they relate to each other is important for understanding how you access the platform.

An organization represents your firm on the platform. Organizations are one of three types: Investment Firm, Law Firm, or Administrator Firm. The organization type determines which transfer roles are available to its members and is set when the organization is first created. For a detailed breakdown of this see this article: Understanding Role on the Navys Transfers Platform.

A user account is your individual account within your organization. Each user has a system role of either Admin or User.

Each user can only be associated with one organization. Your email address is tied to your user account and is used to authenticate via Microsoft SSO.

How You Join Navys

There are three scenarios under which you may access Navys. Which one applies to you depends on whether your organization already exists on the platform and whether you already have a user account.

  • Organization invite : Your organization already exists on Navys, and an Admin at your organization invites you to join. This creates your user account within the existing organization. This is the most common path for GP teams and internal users who need ongoing access to the platform.

  • Transfer invite (existing account): You already have a user account on Navys, and someone adds you as a participant on a specific transfer. You receive an email invitation and can access the transfer by logging in either via the email or through app.navys.ai . No new account or organization is created.

  • Transfer invite (no existing account): You do not have a user account on Navys, and someone adds you as a participant on a transfer. This is common for external parties such as Transferors, Transferees, or outside Counsel joining the platform for the first time through a specific deal. Depending on whether your email domain matches an existing organization, the platform either creates a new organization for you or adds you to the matching one. In both cases, a new user account is created.

Each scenario is explained in detail in the sections below.

1. Organization Invite

When an admin at your organization invites you to Navys, you receive an email containing a magic link. This typically happens when your firm has a Navys subscription and your admin is adding team members.

If the link has expired, your admin can resend the invite from the User Management screen.

Clicking the link takes you to the sign-in screen. You will sign in to the Navys platform through your organization's Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On (SSO). The email you sign in with must match the email the invite was sent to.

Once signed in, you are added to your organization's account and taken to the Transfers dashboard.

2. Transfer Invite (Existing Account)

If you already have a Navys account and someone adds you as a participant on a transfer, you receive an email invitation containing a link to the transfer.

Clicking the link takes you directly to the transfer. If your session is still active (sessions last 30 days), you do not need to sign in again. If your session has expired, you are prompted to sign in and are then redirected to the transfer.

You can also access transfers you have been invited to participate in by signing in to the platform directly through app.navys.ai.

3. Transfer Invite (No Existing Account)

Returning Users

Once your account is set up, you can log in at any time by going to app.navys.ai and signing in.

Sessions remain active for 30 days. If your session expires, you are prompted to sign in again and are returned to the page you were trying to access.

Navigating the Dashboard

Once logged in, you will either see the main dashboard. For a detailed breakdown of how to navigate the main dashboard see: Navigating the Transfers Dashboard
